Ekōbius - Sustainable Human Ecological Settlements

Ekōbius is a developing experimental intentional community based on the ecological integration and sustainability of human beings in the pristine unspoiled highland forests (elevation 800 meters and above) of Guyana and Venezuela.

The first Ekōbius pioneer settlement camps shall be located at the extreme east and west ends of the elevated portions of the Guiana Shield sometimes called the Guiana Highlands. These strategic locations have been chosen because of the low indigenous human populations, high biodiversity, ease of access to multiple biomes, and the special original state of the forest and wildlife in these areas.

There are few ecosystems left in the world that are still in their natural state from an ecological perspective.
